Latino Management Student Association (LMSA)
Mission Statement
The mission of the Latino Management Student Association (LMSA) is to build and sustain a community that enhances the educational and professional development of Latinos at UCLA Anderson. We strive to develop a supportive environment among our members that is conducive to each individual’s academic and personal success. In the surrounding community, we aim to raise awareness and encourage the pursuit of the MBA among Latino youth. Thus, priorities among our programs and activities are recruiting, alumni relations, mentoring, academic performance, career search, community involvement and community relations. In order to ensure continuity of these important initiatives, we aim to build strong relationships with corporate and community partners. Through teamwork in a close-knit group, we expect to increase opportunities for Latinos and leave our mark at UCLA Anderson.
The objectives of LMSA are:
1) Educate LMSA members on the numerous MBA career opportunities
2) Increase the number of Latinos admitted to UCLA Anderson School of Management
3) Develop in its members the proper knowledge base and skill set needed to be successful in the MBA on-campus recruiting process and the professional environment
4) Create a network and maintain a continuous relationship between business professionals, the UCLA Anderson community, and its members
5) Develop a strong community presence and create an inroad for qualified students to the UCLA Anderson School of Management
